Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and CubeClock ("we", "us") about your use of CubeClock and our website. By creating an account or using CubeClock, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

CubeClock lets you record and review your puzzle-solving times, either on the web or from a CubeClock timer linked to your account. We sell those timers through our shop. The service is provided for use with CubeClock timers and the web timer, and not for other devices or software.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings.

Your data

The cubes, solves and other content you add ("your data") stay yours. You give us permission to store it, process it and show it back to you, so that we can run the service. We do not claim any other rights over it. How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

Using the service properly

Please do not:

• access or try to access anyone else's account or data;
• attempt to disrupt, overload or bypass the security or rate limits of the service;
• use the timer connection with anything other than a CubeClock timer, or use automated tools to collect data from the service;
• submit false results in order to mislead others, or use the service for anything unlawful.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Timers

You link a timer to your account with a pairing code, and can rename it, change which cube it records to, or unlink it at any time from the Devices page. Unlinking stops it syncing straight away. Solves it already sent stay in your account until you delete them. Only link timers that you own or are allowed to use.

Buying a timer

• Prices are shown in the shop. Checkout is completed on a page run by our payment provider, and we do not see or store your card details.
• A purchase is only confirmed once we have accepted your order. We may cancel and refund an order if, for example, an item is unavailable or a price was shown in error.
• Delivery, returns, refunds and warranty terms for timers are shown at checkout. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection law.

Changes and availability

We work to keep CubeClock running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, and we may change, add or remove features. We will try to give notice of significant changes. We are not responsible for solves that a timer could not send because it was offline, so keep an eye on your Devices page.

Ending your use

You can stop using CubeClock and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms or if we have to by law, and will tell you why where we can. When an account is deleted its data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

CubeClock is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that times and averages will always be accurate. Please keep your own record of any result that matters, such as one for an official competition.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 50 US dollars. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make a significant change we will tell you in the service or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using CubeClock after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
